TILSIT
Great for grilling and on platters
Creamy, semi-hard cheese made from cow’s milk. This cheese was first made by Dutch cheese makers, living in Tilsit which was then in East Prussia. Tilsit is a fabulous table cheese and is regularly enjoyed according to European tradition – eaten with bread at breakfast time. It is a supple semi-hard cheese with a yellow cream body and strong, yeasty, beer aroma. It has a creamy mouth feel so rich and dense it is almost buttery. It is a great melter as it retains its creamy character without any oiliness making it perfect for grilling. Made in an 8kg wheel.
